WBPI BECOMES ENDORSED INSURANCE AGENCY FOR ISBPA MEMBERS

Western Bowling Proprietors Insurance (WBPI) is the new endorsed insurance brokerage agency for ISBPA members, effective Aug. 11, 2015. WBPI's bowling-oriented products run the gamut from coverage for wind and hail damage to slip-and-fall incidents. The official press release containing full details can be downloaded here.



 

   

ISBPA 2015-16 TOURNAMENT SCHEDULES AVAILABLE SOON

Youth and Adult state tournaments organized by Illinois State BPA and its affiliated regions for the 2015-16 bowling season are in the planning stages and will be announced here in early Fall 2015. The youth calendar of events will be available on the Youth Tournament Calendar and Results page.


2015 GRAND PRIX 'SUMMER BLAST' TOURNAMENT

 

High school seniors Morgan Van Houtin (Salem Bowl) and Brandon Campana (Habetler Bowl) each won $1,500 scholarships for their first-place finishes at the 2015 ISBPA Grand Prix High School "Summer Blast" Tournament, which took place June 13 at St. Clair Bowl in Fairview Heights. 35th ANNUAL COORS LIGHT 'PINS OVER AVERAGE'

Albert Williams, representing Skyway Bowl in Chicago, and Nicole Clark, representing Lakewood Bowl in Richton Park, walked away with the $10,000 first-prize checks from the finals of the 35th Annual Coors Light/BPA "Pins Over Average Tournament" that took place Saturday, May 2, at Sunset Bowl in Waukegan. Jonathan Holmes, who qualified from Sunset Bowl, and Denise Spiess, from Tinley Bowl, finished second to earn seven-day Hawaiian vacation packages. 2015 ALL AMERICAN FAMILY TOURNAMENT

The results of the March 28-29 AAFT qualifying tournament at Castaways Bowl in Calumet City are now available. Visit the Youth Tournament Calendar and Results page and scroll down to the All American Family Tournament section to access the link for the PDF document that contains the results. Six adult-youth teams qualified for the national finals, which will be held July 8-10 at Stardust Bowl in Addison.


2015 ISBPA STORM/ROTO GRIP YOUTH HANDICAP SINGLES TOURNAMENT

Results for the 2015 State Finals, as well as for all five regional roll-offs, of the 2015 ISBPA Storm/Roto-Grip Youth Handicap Singles Tournament are now available on the Youth Tournament Calendar and Results page. Congratulations to division champions Ava Garcia of Lan-Oak Lanes (Bantam), Samuel Ritchie, Poplar Creek Bowl (Prep), Asya Wright, Classic Bowl Mike's Jrs. (Junior) and Brandon Dertz, Orland Bowl (Major - shown left in above picture), each of whom won a $750 scholarship. The top five scoring bowlers in each division received scholarships from the $8,000 prize fund. The State Finals were held April 25-26 at Parkside Lanes in Aurora.


 

54th ANNUAL SUN-TIMES/BPA BEAT THE CHAMPS

Jason McReady of Suburbanite Bowl (center in top photo) and Danyeil Simmons-Oats of Castaways Bowl (left in bottom photo) are the winners of the 54th Annual Chicago Sun-Times/BPA Beat The Champions charity tournament. McReady defeated Funway Entertainment Center's Jim Stonecipher 1,060-1,059 to win the Men's Division March 1, 2015, at Mardi Gras Lanes in DeKalb. Simmons-Oats topped her nearest rival and league mate, LaDesha Wilson of Burr Oak Bowl, 1,010-969 in the Women's roll-offs March 8 at Elk Grove Bowl in Elk Grove Village.
